Gretchen Raedle grew up in Kansas City. Since the age of four, she has always loved working in show business (aka putting on her own piano concerts in the living room) and making people laugh. She knew that she wanted to pursue her dream of working in the entertainment industry after attending engineering camp- better known as the worst two weeks of her life. Currently, she is a junior at Northwestern University studying Radio/Television/Film as well as the Integrated Marketing Communications certificate. During her time at Northwestern Gretchen has found herself in the writer’s room for Northwestern’s late-night show, “The Blackout”, working as the creative director for Spoon University Magazine, co-founder of a sketch comedy startup, “UpDog,” and an operations aide to the athletics broadcast department. Outside of school, Gretchen has worked as a PA for Bark Productions and as a Project Intern on a feature film, Shepherd, produced by AARose Productions. She has a niche in graphic design, but it will always come second to writing and performing comedy!
Don’t let one setback define your entire career, everything happens for a reason!
Mafia Family Nickname:
Gretchen “Gofer” Raedle
In accordance with everybody else… Miles Teller. I watched Top Gun Maverick and Whiplash in the same week- it’s a no-brainer.
When I’m not casting, I’m:
Shopping, Running & schooling boys at the gym.
When I grow up I want to be:
Just like Mindy Kaling!
Idea I wish I thought up first:
If I could set up another branch of Simon Casting, it would be in:
LA or NYC
The award-winning film/series I haven’t written yet:
A TSA sitcom based in the Kansas City International Airport (it’s in the works…).
